The order comes first: place and pay for takeout on Canela's own site, then request a delivery on this page with the pickup name and the ready time. A hopper collects it at the restaurant and carries it over with GPS tracking you can watch live, texted updates on the way, and a photo once it's at your door. The menu price is the price — no markups on the food.
Canela has been cooking Spanish food in the Castro since 2011, and its takeout program is more interesting than most: paella comes hot in two-person and four-person sizes, or as a DIY kit with a recipe card so you finish the pan at home. One constraint to build around — the kitchen is dinner-only, Tuesday through Sunday evenings, closed Mondays, and pickups only exist inside that window.
