The exceptions are worth knowing about — floor models, lighting, and accessories that a studio will release the same day. Buy the piece, confirm they'll hand it to a third-party courier, and request a delivery below once it's staged. A hopper with the right vehicle collects it and brings it to your door with live GPS tracking.
Floor models are the interesting case: single pieces, marked down, and gone once someone else takes them. Ask for the piece to be wrapped, note stairs or a narrow entry, and a second person can be added. Drivers move and place items where access allows; assembly isn't included.
