The order has to be yours before a driver moves, so start in the Newk's app or on newks.com: build it, pay for it, and set it as an in-store pickup at the location you want. Then request a delivery on this page with the pickup name and order number, and a hopper collects it and brings it over. You pay the menu price with nothing added on top, and the run comes with live GPS tracking, SMS updates, and a photo confirmation at the door.
The dessert case is the reason a lot of these runs get booked. Newk's sells its layered caramel cake and its strawberry cake by the slice or by the whole cake, and a whole one is worth ordering a day ahead for anything with a date attached — a birthday, a send-off, a Sunday table.
