UniHop is a delivery management service for local businesses: delivery plus a live operations team, with no marketplace between you and your customer. Orders are accepted 24/7/365 across all 50 states, and your brand stays on the tracking link and notifications your customer sees. Added as a carrier in Hailship, UniHop quotes at checkout and takes orders straight from Shopify, including the oversize and special-handling orders that many same-day carriers turn down.

Setup Details

The one step people skip is billing. Add a payment method in the UniHop portal before pasting your key into Hailship, or the key will not be accepted even though the portal displays it. Setup
Adding UniHop as a Carrier in Hailship
Create Your UniHop Account and Add Billing
Create a free UniHop business account, then add a payment method at portal.unihop.app/billing. Until you do, the account stays pending and the key is not accepted, even though the portal already shows it.
Copy Your API Key
Find your API key in the UniHop portal. Each merchant uses their own key, and UniHop bills you directly for deliveries. If you ever regenerate the key, the old one stops working immediately, so paste the new one into Hailship right away.
Connect UniHop in Hailship
Go to Carriers in Hailship, click Connect on UniHop, paste your key, and click Save.
Assign Pickup Origins and Test
UniHop only quotes from the locations you assign to it. Assign your pickup origins, then run Hailship's connection test with a delivery postcode different from your pickup address.
Check Product Dimensions and Set Your Markup
Add dimensions and weight to your Shopify products so Hailship can pick the right vehicle. Without them, UniHop assumes a small parcel. Then set your markup to absorb or pass on the delivery cost.
